Learn more about where Lina’s story began

Lina lived in South Korea before immigrating to Canada, where she has spent over two decades navigating life as a first-generation South Korean immigrant. Her personal journey of growing up between cultures has shaped her understanding of identity, belonging, and emotional resilience. Before becoming a therapist, Lina worked in the global shipping industry for 15 years, living and working in Seoul and Singapore. During that time, she began reflecting deeply—through personal therapy and self-exploration—on the themes of self-acceptance, connection, and inner healing.

Now a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA), Lina holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She blends her lived experience with professional training to offer compassionate, culturally sensitive therapy. Her primary modality is Compassion-Focused Therapy, which she integrates with Emotion-Focused, Narrative, Somatic, and Internal Family Systems approaches to meet each client’s individual needs.
