Meet Raymond Dilag
Raymond holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is awaiting registration as a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). His work is grounded in a person-centred approach and integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Raymond believes therapy should meet people where they are, creating space to explore experiences, emotions, and patterns in a way that supports meaningful and lasting change.
Areas of Focus
- Life Transitions & Cultural Identity – Supporting individuals navigating immigration, culture shock, and life between cultures.
- Men’s Mental Health – Helping men explore identity, emotional expression, and personal growth in a non-judgmental space.
- Self-Identity & Personal Growth – Supporting clients in challenging limiting beliefs and building a more authentic life.
- Relationships & Communication – Working with individuals and couples navigating relational patterns and connection.
- Shame & Self-Worth – Helping clients develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Raymond creates a warm, collaborative space where clients feel safe to pause, reflect, and grow. Originally from Manila, Philippines, he immigrated to Canada in 2009 and brings a culturally sensitive perspective to his work with clients. Before entering the counselling field, he built a career as a paralegal and continues to work in the legal industry. Supporting individuals through complex legal challenges deepened his understanding of the connection between mental health and overall well-being, ultimately inspiring him to pursue counselling. Raymond is bilingual in English and Tagalog and enjoys playing guitar, writing music, travelling, experimenting with new recipes, and drawing inspiration from different cultures.
