Learn more about where Young’s story began

Young lived in Windsor, Ontario as a child, then moved back to South Korea to complete her education. Having experienced growing up in two distinct cultures, she sometimes felt that she existed “between worlds.” As she navigated a career in the global shipping industry for 15 years, working in Seoul and Singapore, Young continued to reflect internally, and in her own personal therapy, on issues of personal identity, self-acceptance, and the meaning of genuine connection with others. As a counsellor, Young draws on her experience of cultural diversity as well as the commonality of human experience across cultures to create a compassionate, open-minded space for clients who have a deep desire to be seen and heard for who they are.
