Meet our founder, Tarra.
BCACC, Registered Clinical Counsellor 
Tarra, the founder of Nova Rain Therapy, holds a Master of Counselling from Adler University and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC. She practices relational therapy, focusing on helping clients navigate difficult emotions and align their actions with their values. Her approach is grounded in existential-humanistic principles and incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inner Child Work, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. Tarra also focuses on the somatic experiencing (sensations within the body) that inform and heal various mental health conditions. Tarra specializes in anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, offering a safe, non-judgmental space for clients.

Annie supports individuals facing career burnout by helping them reconnect with purpose and navigate stress in demanding environments. She offers guidance to new parents managing the emotional, physical, and identity shifts of early parenthood, including perinatal and postpartum depression. Annie works with clients exploring their sense of self, including cultural identity and values, to support growth and clarity. In her work with couples, she helps improve connection, communication, and understanding. She also supports clients through grief and life transitions, focusing on resilience and meaning-making.
She works with individuals, particularly BIPOC and queer adults seeking a grounded and affirming space to navigate identity, relationships, and personal challenges. Annie also supports young couples and new parents managing the pressures of career, family life, and their desire to reconnect.

Erin Cullinane

Erin Cullinane holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. Her approach integrates mindfulness, parts work, and person centred therapy, and she brings a gentle, collaborative presence to her work.
Erin supports adults and young adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, perfectionism, burnout, people pleasing, self doubt, and life transitions. She creates a steady, non judgmental space where clients can slow down, reflect, gain clarity, and explore new ways of relating to themselves and others. Her work is grounded in collaboration, care, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience.
Before becoming a counsellor, Erin worked in human resources within the environmental nonprofit sector, where she supported teams, managed organizational change, and helped people navigate professional and personal challenges. Her own transformational experiences with counselling inspired her to work more directly with individuals, supporting clients in building insight, resilience, and self understanding.
When she is not in the therapy room, Erin enjoys exploring new hobbies, reading, spending time with friends and family, and travelling whenever she can. She loves staying curious and engaged, whether that means trying a new workout, experimenting in the kitchen, or taking on a creative project, and brings that same thoughtfulness and energy into her work with clients.

As a first-generation South Korean immigrant with over two decades of life experience in Canada, Lina deeply understands the challenges faced by international students and workers. She recognizes the emotional strain of homesickness, long-distance relationships, and the anxiety that can arise during the adjustment and immigration process. Lina is conversational in Korean and fluent in English.

Specializing in adults who feel “out of place,” including Asian and Korean-speaking clients, Young addresses issues like shame, perfectionism, and social anxiety. For couples, she offers therapies to improve communication and emotional regulation, empowering clients to move forward with confidence.
